Face to face with fear

As many of you know, I have a weird phobia of ducks/geese. In my opinion, those beady little eyes and sharp beaks are the stuff nightmares are made of. Unfortunately, there are tons of ducks and geese at the park where I like to run and they are so aggressive. They line up on the sidewalk and guard it so you can't get by them. I never walk near them, but Kelli has told me she has to push them out of the way with her stroller to get by. Pretty crazy. Anyways, I was running this morning and this very goose attacked me.

I took these pictures with my camera phone after the initial attack. Here they are guarding the sidewalk.

I was too busy running away to film them chasing me, but here is something I found on YouTube to give you an idea of what it would be like to be attacked by a goose.

Elliot has requested I clarify that he loves ducks and does not endorse this blog post.

Granny and Papa time!

Elliot's parents came to visit earlier this week! As you can see from the expression on Lindsey's face, it was almost too much fun to handle!Miles and Claudia really spoiled us. They treated us to a nice dinner and the girls got pedicures! Ahhhh...so wonderful.

Happy Valentine's Day from all my little sweethearts!

Get ready for some serious Valentine's Day lovey-dovey cuteness! I am so in love with this little cutie pie!
How could you not love someone this happy and chubby!?! I love my kitties too. Ohhhh...they're holding hands and giving kisses.
Here's Shiloh in her new pink collar. Very appropriate for V-Day! I love her too. (Even tho she is a destructive rascal...but we'll address that in another post)
And here's my most handsome, sweet, funny Valentine. I love him and he is so cute when he's sleeping.
I love Valentine's day because it reminds me to slow down and remember how lucky I am to have so much love in my life!

Happy Birthday Finley!

One of our Valentine treats was to go to Finley's 2nd birthday party! It was a fun party with a great cake! What more can you ask for? Good job Betsy!

Auf wiedersehen Elder Hantla!

Keith left on his mission this week. My parents flew me out so I could help see him off. Lindsey is going to miss her Uncle Keithy!
Here is his missionary haircut. Lookout Frankfurt Germany!
OK, OK...he did that for football awhile ago.
Here we are at the MTC. I like this picture because of how extremely chubby Lindsey looks and because Keith is so handsome in his missionary attire.

We are super excited for Keith and know he will make a great missionary.

Rough'in it

On Friday we went camping by Canyon Lake...and here we are.
Ernie and Sierra
Here is cutie pie Blake and the gorgeous Kelli
Snuggling by the fire with my baby
It was pretty chilly the next morning so we bundled Lindsey up real nice.
It was warm once the sun came out tho!

We went to the lake once it warmed up. Shiloh loves to fetch her ball from the water! So cute!
Here is Elliot, Warren, Shiloh and Bear....the only four crazy enough to get in that cold water!
