Tattoos and Caffine

Lindsey got her first tattoo the other day.

She chose this tattoo because it symbolizes her caged but burning love for her parents.

Lindsey snuck a Dr. Pepper out of the cupboard yesterday and I found her walking around the house pretending to drink it. I can't believe she went for the Dr. Pepper over the Diet Coke.

Lots of Tears

Before we get to the tears, just look at this cute little thing. She loves to "brush her teeth" and carry around this darling purse her Aunt Kelli made for her. It is so horrible that one minute she could be walking around being the cutest, happiest little baby ever and then...

WHAM! She tripped and smacked her poor little head into the edge of a door.

It was AWFUL. She was screaming and I was snuggling and trying to calm her down and then I looked at her poor little head. Her goose egg was PULSATING bigger and bigger and bigger. I have never seen anything like it.
So, being the level headed nursing student that I am, I started freaking out wondering if I needed to take her to the ER because she had split her skull open or something.

But I got a hold of myself and called her pediatrician in tears to ask if an ER trip was necessary.

Turns out all she needs is some Tylenol, TLC and ice. Poor little lamb.

My Little Animal Lover

Lindsey LOVES animals. Lucky for her we pretty much have a farm for her to play with. I can't believe I was able to get this precious moment on camera. I woke up to find Lindsey fast asleep with her arm around this sweet, purring little kitty! It was so unbelievably adorable!
Lindsey recently figured out that she can pick the cats up and carry them around the house. Lindsey will pick a cat up, take it to the couch, snuggle it until it runs away and then go find it to start the process all over again. Here are a few cute moments of Linds playing and snuggling with the cat.

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween was A LOT of fun! Lindsey was the cutest Tinkerbell ever.
Thanks to Grandma for treating us to a kiddie kandid Halloween photo shoot!

Elliot was Peter Pan and I was Wendy. Here we are with all our closest AZ pals at a trunk-or-treat our ward hosted on Friday night.

Peter and Tink waiting for trunk-or-treaters.

Lindsey got pretty sick of me snapping pictures right and left. Here she is rebelling.

Our best attempt at a family picture!

She is such a rascal!

On Halloween night we went to a party and trick-or-treating with Blake, Kelli and Bear. Here is Lindsey's first trick-or-treat experience. She clung to Aunt Kelli's skirt for most of it!
But big cousin Blake showed her how it was done.
Super Dog kept an eye on Elliot for us. Bear loves his uncle!

I love Halloween!

Our Fun and Crazy Weekend

I had a pumpkin carving party last Friday. I really love Halloween and it was great to have some festive fun with friends and family. Diana had never carved a pumpkin before and chose a very ambitious stencil pattern that even a seasoned pumpkin carver would struggle with. So here are everyone's scary jack-o-lanterns plus Diana's work in progress.

It was all worth it in the end though. Diana won the best jack-o-lantern award.

I love fun holiday food. I found this hot dog mummies idea online. They are so cute, easy and tasty that I think I'll make them a Halloween tradition!

Yummy.

More Yummy.

My Mom came out for a long weekend too. As always, it was so wonderful to have her and she spoiled Lindsey and me rotten! I think ever since Lindsey was born, my Mom has tried to get Linds to say Grandma and all her hard work paid off this trip. We had Lindsey chanting "Gra ma! Gra ma" and it was pretty darn cute! Thanks for a super fun weekend Mom!

My dogs were sooooo naughty this weekend. They have been couped up in the house because they aren't allowed in the backyard while the winter grass is seeding and I think they have cabin fever. Don't be fooled by their cute appearances...I'd like you to meet Trouble and More Trouble.
But how can you stay angry at a face like this? Thor is really good at pulling out this face whenever he wants something or doesn't want to get in trouble. It melts my heart every time!

I Just Can't Believe I'm 22 Years Old Now

It was my birthday on Friday so Elliot treated Lindsey and I to a fun night out on the town!

Birthday wish #1- Get family pictures taken

Birthday wish #2- Eat some YUMMY food.

Birthday wish #3- Spend the evening with these two nerds!

Definitely the best wish.

Lindsey likes to lean over and give her Daddy kisses when she's on his shoulders. It's so stink'in cute!

She also likes to kick back and relax. She puts her feet up and takes it easy every chance she gets! Smart girl.

The day before my birthday, my nursing pal Diana made me a cake and had everyone in Lab sing Happy Birthday to me. She is such a sweetie and the cake was delicious!

Look what else Elliot got me for my birthday. A 1998 Honda Super Hawk 1000. Just what I wanted...he can read me like a book.

Trip to Daddy's Work

Elliot's work hosts a "read for the record" party every year where they read the same book at the same time all over the world to set a world record. The book they read this year was The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
They made these little caterpillar headbands for the kids. Much to my surprise, Lindsey kept hers on most of the morning.

This is Lindsey's first experience coloring with crayons. She did a great job and she must have enjoyed expressing herself artistically because the very next day I found her drawing on the wall with one of my highlighters.

Here is a group shot. Can you find Me, Linds, Elliot, Kelli and Finley???
Here is Lindsey meeting Ferris the Successmaker Ferret.
