What a Fun Weekend!

We went to The Pie Friday night to hear my brother in-law and father in-law's band perform. They did a great job and it was a lot of fun to hang out with the fam!
Me and my dreamy hubby. Love him!
The girls. I don't think Ashley likes loud noises. She had a rough night.
Elliot and his cute Momma.
Linds eating graham crackers with her little couz, Sarah.
Courtney came over for a play date on Saturday. They played soooo well together. I don't think I've ever heard so much adorable giggling in my life.
Might be the greatest picture ever!
What a beautiful little princess.
So Elliot and I started a kinda funny family tradition a couple of years ago. Every Aug. 27th we record everyone's weight in the family. Weird...I know. But it's actually really fun and pretty interesting! (It probably won't be as much fun when we start getting older and fatter!) Anyways, the results are in...

2009- Elliot 173, Kristin 112, Moo 10, Harry 14, Lindsey 21, Shiloh 40, Thor 69, Total is 439

2010- Elliot 169, Kristin 116.2, Moo 8.2, Harry 11.4, Lindsey 27.6, Shiloh 39.6, Thor 76, Boo 7.8, 6 week old fetus 0, Total is 455.8

2011- Elliot 169, Kristin 116.8, Moo 7.8, Harry 11, Lindsey 30.6, Shiloh 40.6, Thor 74.6, Boo 9, George .1, Ashley 15, Hellacious 20.8, Gus 25.6, Total is 520.9

So there ya have it. A quarter of a ton to love and feed. 189.5 lbs of pets/food storage. Ha ha! I am thankful for every ounce of my crazy family though and I look forward to adding a few more pounds in the years to come!

Replacement Neigh

Well...we sold our goat Neigh because he had horns. When we bought him we were told you could get them removed anytime but the vet I talked to said it is inhumane to burn them off when the goat is older. I didn't want a goat with horns to be around my kids. So I found a nice goat farm for Neigh to go live on and we got this new goat to replace him yesterday. His name is Hellacious. Of course, Lindsey loves him. I think it's helping her get over the trauma of Neigh leaving.

Hellacious is a fainting goat. They are called fainting goats because they fall over whenever they get scared. Here's an example.

I am very disappointed to say that we haven't been able to get Hellacious to faint. Boooooo. So I don't know if he isn't really a fainting goat or if he won't do it until he's older. We'll see. He's a really sweet little goat though so even if he doesn't faint, we'll keep him!

Ashley doesn't really care about the goats. She has figured out how awesome it is to suck on her toes and that occupies a lot of her time these days.

We Now Have a Smarty Pants Preschooler and a Graceful Dancer

Lindsey's first day of preschool was today. There were lots of tears when I dropped her off, but I think she had fun once I was gone.

After preschool she had her first dance class. Her cute cousin Courtney is in both her preschool and her dance class. What cute little friends! Courtney needs to teach Linds how to smile for the camera though.

Lindsey posing like a ballerina. She really likes her new sassy black leotard.
Here's Lindsey snooze'in with her Daddy. He gave her a really sweet blessing to help her make it through preschool this morning. She's so lucky to have such a great Daddy!
Lindsey's been sleeping a lot lately. She was watching a show and fell asleep sitting up the other day.
I can't believe she is as big as she is! Time flies!

Is Your Daddy a Baker...

Cuz you've got some great rolls! I'm going to make sure this picture ends up on her wedding video.
Too bad fat rolls aren't cute your entire life!
Ashley got a new high chair! I love the flowers behind her. It's very "Ashley".

What a cute big sister.
This red rubber spatula is me and Ashley's new best friend. Ashley has turned into a big Momma's girl and she is teething. In fact, it's gotten so bad that I feel like I have to hold her most of the day or she SCREAMS bloody murder. It's awesome. Anyways, she loves to chew on this spatula and it buys me about 15 minutes to get stuff done.
Lindsey wanted to wear this coat the other day. She also wants to wear socks with sandals lately. Gross. May be she's gearing up for her first Utah winter.
Here's another toy that buys me a few minutes here and there. She fell asleep while she was trying to roll over the other night. She has successfully rolled over a couple of times now. She's getting so big!

Random Pics

Lindsey got her hair cut. I'm always scared to cut her curls for fear that they will go away but I'm always glad after I do it. Three cheers for healthy, curly hair!

I like taking pictures of my kids when they're sleeping. You might think that's kinda creepy...but I always want to remember how they look precious and peaceful when they're asleep.

Look out. Ashley is way too cool.
She tried her first taste of rice cereal today. She thought it was pretty tasty.
Daddy pretended to give Ashley her first taste of jalapeno. We grew that one in our garden.
Ahhhh. Love that smile!
This girl loves bath time these days!
Watching Rio with my little ladies.
Here's some footage of Lindsey riding a horsey. I took her for a pony ride as a reward for how well she's doing with potty training. There's also footage of a little surprise we put in a box for her. Fun times.

We're Just Crazy About Our Goats

Look at this face! Don't you think he is saying, "Please get me a little brother I can snuggle with on cold winter nights. Pretty please."

Ok, ok Gus. We'll get you a little brother. Meet our new goat Neigh. I think he looks a little devious though. Don't you?

Elliot and I were joking around about naming him neigh, but Lindsey liked it so much that it kinda stuck. I think she's secretly hoping he'll turn into a horsey.
Ahhhh...look at my cute little kids.
Can't you tell that Gus really loves it when Elliot gives him hugs.
Enjoy!
