Christmas 2009!

Here's our 2009 Lignell Family Christmas Portrait.

Lindsey's still not cooperating, but this one is a little better than the first!

Cutest little reindeer I ever saw!

The cutest little reindeer about to push all her cousins out of the way so she can play with the toy. Lindsey has a problem with sharing.

Snuggling with Mommy in Christmas pajamas!

A bunch of cute trouble makers in their Christmas PJs. It is too much fun when we get all these cousins together!

Lindsey is right in the middle of a big Christmas morning hug! Lucky girl!

2009 Stocking

2008 Stocking. Look at how much my little girl has grown in one year!

We gave Claudia and Miles this picture for Christmas. I love these kids!

We had a great Christmas and were spoiled rotten as usual! Thanks to Adriane and Phil for letting us take over their house this year!

Early Christmas in Utah

We went to Utah for a few days before we headed out to California to spend Christmas with Elliot's family. It was wonderful to spend time with family and friends and get a little taste of cold, snowy weather to make it feel like Christmas! Lindsey thought the snow was pretty neat. I took her outside to catch snowflakes and she just giggled and giggled! That's my little Christmas cutie!
This little rascal has a special bond with her Grandma. Whenever I tell her no she runs to her Grandma to get what she wants. I guess that's how it's supposed to be!

Plus her Grandma goes to some pretty extreme lengths for her. I left Lindsey with Elliot and my mom for a couple hours. When I got home, Elliot had Linds in the bath while my mom was constructing a diaper out of Maxi pads because they had run out of diapers! Luckily, I had another package of diapers in the car and Lindsey never had to wear this. Very innovative though!

Here is Lindsey unwrapping her first Christmas present. She didn't quite get the unwrapping part but was pretty excited once the toy emerged!

Gingerbread Houses

We went over to the Capson's house for some Christmas gingerbread fun!

Don't these two look like they are up to no good?

And here is their unsuspecting victim innocently making his house. Though some would argue that he got what he deserved.

I made the house that said "Elliot is". But I was under the impression Carol and Marcus were going to write "a handsome man" on theirs. I was mistaken.

The final products. Beautiful and creative.

Temple Lights

Can't beat a family picture in front of the big red tree.
Lindsey's favorite place to hang out.
Freezing with Grandma and Grandpa

We bundled this Arizona baby up!

It didn't last for long! Lindsey wants to walk everywhere now.

We wish Elliot was in this picture with us.

A Day in the Life of Lindsey

Elliot is in Utah right now and missing his little girl so I made this for him. Here are a few highlights from Lindsey's day. First, she got a new table just her size and it only took her 2 seconds to figure out it is also a great stool to get on the counter. Next, Lindsey likes to sing in the tub. Then she is hanging out with her little cousin Clayton, who she L-O-V-E-S. Finally, she likes to growl. She growls to scare Mommy and she growls when you try to take something away. Pretty darn cute. Love you Elliot and we miss you and shove it!

Gotta Practice My Skillzz

In case you were wondering what it might look like if a teddy bear had a catheter, I thought I would provide the visual.
Better to practice on the bear than Elliot.

Twinkle Toes Lignell

This is my Elliot showing off his dance moves. If you see this picture and think, "Man, I sure do wish I could see some video footage of Elliot dancing" then I have some good news for you...
Meet Elliot's dancing look alike Jakob, a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance.
I hope he wins. He is very handsome.

Happy Thanksgiving!

So I forgot to take pictures this Thanksgiving. In fact, I forgot to take pictures of our whole Utah trip! This occurred to me on our last night in Utah right before we went to bed, so Linds and I are both in our Pajamas for our only 2009 Thanksgiving pictures. Oh well!

And here we are with the Hantlas.

We had a really fun holiday weekend with family and friends! There was Thanksgiving dinner, ridiculously hard puzzles and cut throat family games at the Hantlas. All of Elliot's side of the family was in town too and we had a yummy dinner with them, watched the Utah/BYU game and as always, had a fun and wild time with everyone!

All By Myself

Elliot and Lindsey went to Utah five days before me because I had school. Booo!!!! It was my first time being away from Lindsey and it was a little traumatic. Elliot is such a great Daddy though and the two of them had a lot of fun! I have to admit that it was nice to have five whole days to myself. I kept my mind off missing my family by keeping really busy. I decorated for Christmas.
Tended to our garden.

There was even some harvesting to do.

I slept in!
Dinner and a movie with the girls!
I deep cleaned my house.
And I studied A LOT.

All in all is was wonderful to have five very productive days all to myself but I sure am glad to have my cute husband and fun little girl back!

Tattoos and Caffine

Lindsey got her first tattoo the other day.

She chose this tattoo because it symbolizes her caged but burning love for her parents.

Lindsey snuck a Dr. Pepper out of the cupboard yesterday and I found her walking around the house pretending to drink it. I can't believe she went for the Dr. Pepper over the Diet Coke.

Lots of Tears

Before we get to the tears, just look at this cute little thing. She loves to "brush her teeth" and carry around this darling purse her Aunt Kelli made for her. It is so horrible that one minute she could be walking around being the cutest, happiest little baby ever and then...

WHAM! She tripped and smacked her poor little head into the edge of a door.

It was AWFUL. She was screaming and I was snuggling and trying to calm her down and then I looked at her poor little head. Her goose egg was PULSATING bigger and bigger and bigger. I have never seen anything like it.
So, being the level headed nursing student that I am, I started freaking out wondering if I needed to take her to the ER because she had split her skull open or something.

But I got a hold of myself and called her pediatrician in tears to ask if an ER trip was necessary.

Turns out all she needs is some Tylenol, TLC and ice. Poor little lamb.

My Little Animal Lover

Lindsey LOVES animals. Lucky for her we pretty much have a farm for her to play with. I can't believe I was able to get this precious moment on camera. I woke up to find Lindsey fast asleep with her arm around this sweet, purring little kitty! It was so unbelievably adorable!
Lindsey recently figured out that she can pick the cats up and carry them around the house. Lindsey will pick a cat up, take it to the couch, snuggle it until it runs away and then go find it to start the process all over again. Here are a few cute moments of Linds playing and snuggling with the cat.

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween was A LOT of fun! Lindsey was the cutest Tinkerbell ever.
Thanks to Grandma for treating us to a kiddie kandid Halloween photo shoot!

Elliot was Peter Pan and I was Wendy. Here we are with all our closest AZ pals at a trunk-or-treat our ward hosted on Friday night.

Peter and Tink waiting for trunk-or-treaters.

Lindsey got pretty sick of me snapping pictures right and left. Here she is rebelling.

Our best attempt at a family picture!

She is such a rascal!

On Halloween night we went to a party and trick-or-treating with Blake, Kelli and Bear. Here is Lindsey's first trick-or-treat experience. She clung to Aunt Kelli's skirt for most of it!
But big cousin Blake showed her how it was done.
Super Dog kept an eye on Elliot for us. Bear loves his uncle!

I love Halloween!
