What's New With Ashley Belle

Ashley has discovered the wonder of high heeled shoes.  She eased into this right of womanhood by clunking around the house with just one shoe on at a time.  It was so cute.  Now, I am proud to say she is running around the house in two high heel princess shoes like a pro.

Ashley LOVES to eat.  It can be exhausting sometimes though!  Lately I have been trying to get her to take only one nap after lunch.  She has been passing out in the middle of lunch a lot though.  May be this sweetie is not ready for just one nap yet.
Lindsey and Ashley have been spending a lot more sister time together lately.  Sometimes they are fighting like cats and dogs, but most times they are playing so sweetly!  They play tag, wrestle, play dolls, play barbies and play kitchen.  It warms my heart to see them play together.  I hope they grow up to be best friends!

She's a Wild One

Topless horseback riding?  What happened to my sweet little angel Ashley?
This little girl is an active, crazy, wild girl.  It is so funny how two siblings can be so different.  Lindsey, to this day, has never gotten into a toilet, opened the fridge and in general doesn't go looking for trouble.  But Ashley does!  If I take my eyes off her for one minute I usually find she has climbed on top of our kitchen table and is standing there clapping her hands for her accomplishment.  Climbing is definitely this baby's favorite thing to do. She can climb up and down the stairs by herself really well now.  Her new favorite thing to climb is our bouncy horse.  She climbs up into the saddle, then stands up and rocks back and forth, back and forth.  She'll even try standing on the horse and then balance herself with no hands.  Ahhhhhh!
Look at that mischievous, dare devil grin. I see that grin all the time these days.  She's going to give me a run for my money! I still think she's pretty cute though.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great Independence Day. We spent the afternoon at the Lindon Pool with the Carol, Brady and Grace Greenhalgh.  I forgot my camera :(, but it is an awesome pool and we had a lot of fun in the sun.
We went to see the Sandy parade and fireworks that night.  We met up with Amber, Brooke, Ethan and Sarah.  We had a lot of fun with them, but the parade was 2 hours long!  By the time it was over and we had sat in the sun that long we were all ready to go home!  We were party poopers!
Once we cooled off we lit a few fireworks of our own at home.
Lindsey LOVES sparklers.  Who doesn't though!
Happy 4th of July!

Lehi Days

I really love living in Lehi. I think it has a nice small town feel to it, but it's growing so fast that there are lots of places to go shopping and have fun too.  This was our first year doing Lehi Days activities and it just made me love Lehi even more!  Here are the girls waiting to watch the parade.  It was a great parade.

They had a carnival after the parade.  Linds loved getting her face painted.
Ashley was all tuckered out from the parade excitement.

There were some fun rides and bouncy houses at the carnival too.  Perfect way to spend a summer day.

Lindsey's a Big 4 Year Old!!!

Lindsey had a pretty fun birthday!  She had a party with 18 kids.  It was crazy, but fun.  Then she went to a splash park and then she saw the movie Brave.
Lindsey had been planning all the birthday games and activities she wanted to do at her party for weeks.  But when her party finally came, all she seemed to want to do was play in the backyard with all her friends and show them her animals (mainly the bunnies).  Oh well!  I think the other kids enjoyed the party games and I know Lindsey had fun!
 That's one happy Birthday Girl.
This was taken right before the movie started.  It was a little too scary for Lindsey!  The huge black bear really scared her.  I told her we could leave but she was so "brave" and stuck through the whole movie.  Once the movie was over, I asked her if she liked it.  She said yes.  Then I asked if she wanted to see it again and she said, "NO!  That bear is way too scary!"

Lehi Princess Festival

Lindsey went to a princess festival at the Lehi Legacy Center with her friends Brinkley and Lily.  It was completely adorable.
Lindsey won these earrings.  I was surprised she would wear them, but she loved them!
The make up station.
The hair/glitter station.
Lindsey's favorite princess is Aurora.
Princess Tea Party.
These girls had FUN!
Not Lindsey's most princess like moment. Those were good cupcakes though!
 Lindsey's princess festival loot!

Homegrown Cherries!

I am pretty excited because our cherries didn't have worms in them this year!  And they were so tasty!
Lindsey loved helping me pick them.  She discovered how fun climbing trees is too.  Once I got her up there, she didn't want to come down!
It was tiring work though.  What a cute daddy/daughter nap.

Random May Pictures

My future babysitters.

She's smiling so big because there's a bunny in that toy carrier.

We got a little pool for some summer fun.  We filled it up with freezing cold hose water.  Poor Lindsey could not wait for it to warm up so she played in the cold water for about an hour.  Every time she would go down the slide she got the most surprised look on her face like she forgot the water was cold.  Finally, she got out and fell asleep on the towel in the warm sun.  Elliot is a smart guy though and figured out a way we could hook the outside hose up to the hot water heater.  So now we have a nice warm pool to swim in all the time.  It's wonderful!
Lindsey's first encounter with curlers.  She pulled them all out by the time she woke up!
Lindsey did her hair herself.  She was so proud.
Elliot brought his girls home flowers for no particular reason.  We love him!

What a cute campfire baby!

Ashley was not cooperating with the cute hat picture with Ryder.

Campfire Dinner with the Capson's and the Shields = lost of taunting and good times!

Lindsey roasted her first marshmallow.  She doesn't look like she enjoyed it in this picture, but she did!

Lindsey picked this net out at the dollar store.  A nice old lady asked Lindsey if she was going to catch butterflies with her new net.  Lindsey replied, "no, I'm going to catch bunnies."
